The ICPA and Diamond Online |
The ICPA initiative with Diamond Discovery Software continues to bring benefit to our members and the launch of Diamond Online providing a cost effective web based accounting solution to members is a direct result of this initiative. Free 2008/09 Tottel Core Tax Annuals for ICPA Members |
We are advised by Tottel Publishing that we should expect delivery of the 2008/09 Core Tax Annuals “Income Tax”, “Corporation Tax” and “Value Added Tax” in late September. These three books will be distributed to all ICPA members in early October. If any ICPA member has recently moved please make sure that we have your correct address. If in doubt just email anita@icpa.org.uk your address.
These 3 books will only be made available to ICPA member practices that are members by 30 September 2008. We will have to be strict on this deadline so if you are contemplating membership at the moment make your decision sooner rather than later to receive this great benefit.
Tottel Publishing have also announced that the remaining 3 books which form the remainder of their entire core tax range namely “Capital Gains Tax”, “Inheritance Tax” and “Trust and Estates Tax” as well a CD-Rom containing the text of all 6 books is available to ICPA members only at the special price of £60 only. Accounting Practice Magazine

The Autumn issue of our quarterly magazine “Accounting Practice” is being finalised and distribution to the members is anticipated in the first week of September.
This issue includes articles by all our usual contributors Paula Tallon of Chiltern Tax, Glyn Mummery of Vantis Business Recovery Service, Paula Fisher of Practical HR and for the first time Mark McLaughlin author and Managing Editor of TaxationWeb.
This issue contains details of a very special “Money Back” offer brokered with Diamond Discovery relating to the launch of “Diamond Online” the exciting new web based accounting solution. This offer is ONLY available to ICPA member practices.

HMRC have now issued their updated guidance MLR 9 Registration Notice on their website at

This latest update clarifies matters and concerns raised in the past in connection with ASPs and TCSPs.
The update contains details of the latest registration dates.
The ICPA Money Laundering Regulations have also been updated and members can view them via this site.

This issue contains details of new HMRC Agent Dedicated Telephone Numbers, the latest FRSSE (effective April 2008)and the Mercia Training Lecture on Paye Benefits and NI Update.
Members will need to log in to access the CPE (click the link below). If you can’t remember your log in details, just contact us.
