The term icpa.org.uk or "us" or "we" refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is 79 Victoria Road, Rayleigh, Essex, SS6 8EQ. Our company registration number is 04207047 registered in England and Wales. The term "you" refers to the user or viewer of our website.

Information Collection and Use

The ICPA is a membership organisation dedicated to enhancing and promoting the work of Accountants in Practice within the UK. We do this by providing significant benefits to members either generated by ourselves or provided to our members either for no additional cost or by way of discounts against the cost. Personal data is defined as “information which relates to a living individual and from which they can be identified, either directly or indirectly” and the personal date we collect relates to FOUR categories:

Members, Ex-Members, Applicants and Prospective Members.

The application forms that form the basis of the personal data the ICPA will hold can be reviewed and established easily and freely by reviewing the ICPA Application Forms readily available on our website. We process personal data when application is made to join the ICPA and if accepted we will use this data to provide each member with their Membership Benefits available at and throughout their membership period as the application is deemed to provide consent to so do.

We hold members personal data throughout their period of membership and for a period of 10 years post membership EXCEPT for Bank and Credit/Debit card details which will be deleted when membership is ended. We retain data for 10 years in case of requests for information from regulatory authorities and legitimate reasons in relation to re applications.

We hold Applicants details for 10 years where their application has been rejected EXCEPT for Bank and Credit/Debit card details which will be deleted when application to join is rejected. We retain data for 10 years in case further attempts are made to join the ICPA or in response to regulatory requests form the authorities.   

For Prospective Members we hold Names, Practice Names, Email Address and Address details and we only address marketing activities to Accountants in Practice and we make clear opt-out provision for any Accountant to opt out.   

Additional forms

We sometimes may request additional information from users on forms. Users have to provide contact information (such as name and delivery address) and financial information (such as credit card number and expiry date). This information is used for billing purposes and to enable professional indemnity insurance requests. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.

Cookies
