Do the Numbers LTD
Eleanor Greene is the Director of Do the Numbers LTD, specialising in accountancy as well as Parish internal auditing. With over 12 years’ experience, Eleanor prides herself on client relationships. Upon leaving the ACCA, they recommended that Eleanor should consider ICPA membership. Having joined the ICPA in 2012, Eleanor has never looked back!
Main challenges faced on a day to day basis:
Before joining the ICPA, Eleanor faced issues with staying up to date with incomplete legislations, such as MTD. Formerly a member, Eleanor looked to the ACCA for support and although they ‘provided a bit of support’ Ms Greene felt additional guidance was needed.
How ICPA membership helped overcome these challenges:
It is fundamental to understand just how challenges such as incomplete legislations impact smaller accountancy practices, such as Do the Numbers. Eleanor states that the ‘ICPA understands small UK based accountancy practices’ and therefore are able to help overcome issues in which smaller practices face on a daily basis. With extensive resources made available, from guidance publications to conferences, the ICPA were able to provide accountants, like Eleanor, with the information best suited to their needs.
How has the ICPA helped your Practice?
Having been recommended by the ACCA, Eleanor found the ICPA to be ‘better suited for her business’ than her former institute. With a comprehensive selection of benefits to aid its members, the ICPA’s information and advisory resources were particularly helpful to Eleanor, she felt they were ‘tailored to my size of practice.’
Recommending the ICPA:
Due to meeting Eleanor’s needs, not only would the Do the Numbers Director recommend the ICPA to fellow accountants in practice, she has already done just that!
